Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Educational Fanpage
http://www.wamozartfan.com/
More fanpage than educational, this site includes a fairly lengthy biography, a complete Köchel listing (courtesy of this site), images, sound files, a message board -- and links to commercial sites for those interested in purchasing books, videos and audio recordings. Perhaps this should be considered a Mozart "portal" -- a starting place to find other resources on the World Wide Web.
Home of W.A. Mozart
http://www.openmozart.net
An ambitious and attractive Web site, this "home of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on the World Wide Web" features sound clips in various formats, a discussion board, a weekly trivia quiz and other odds and ends. Worth a visit.
Mozart's Own Website
http://www.allabreve.org/mozart.html
At last: A Web page about Mozart written by none other than ... Mozart himself! Well, OK. A little willing suspension of disbelief won't hurt those who visit this site. Includes a new Mozart Discussion Forum where visitors are invited to share thoughts and questions about the composer.
Mozart's Place
http://www.angelfire.com/mt/wamozart/mozart.htm
A very personal cybershrine that includes a brief biography, links to a Mozart admirers' ring, guestbook and (drum roll) the Top 10 reasons why Mozart is the greatest composer of all time.
Mr. Mozart Home Page
http://www.wamozart.cjb.net
This attractively designed Brazilian Web site, in Portuguese, includes a Köchel catalog, essays, a forum for visitors and links to other Mozart sites, including other Brazilian sites.
The W.A. Mozart Page
http://www.mhric.org/mozart/
An excellent index site for people wishing to find more Mozart information on the World Wide Web.
The Mozart Mailing List
http://www.ontheline.u-net.com/mozart/
Want to meet other Mozart fans and discuss his life and music with them? This brand-new mailing list, set up by a student in the U.K., will let you do just that.
Mozart's Guided Tour
http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Strasse/1025/mozartenter.html
This is a section of a Web site called "Mr. Guarnere's Music Pages" and Mr. Guarnere, a teacher of music, obviously had a lot of fun putting it together. His approach is unusual and his enthusiam is infectious. Most of the site is written in first-person, from Mozart's point of view. It includes a section on Mozart's family, his home and his music. There is a Köchel catalog, of course. But better yet is the page of interactive MIDI files that you can play at the push of a button. Take a look, and enjoy!
The Mozart Lover's Page
http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Strasse/2915/
This "user-friendly" Mozart site is chatty, somewhat disorganized and a bit irreverent. But the information it provides is accurate and easy to use. (Want a Mozart biography? This site has one and guarantees that you can read it in 90 seconds or less -- unless you are an unusually "pokey" reader.) Best of all, the site is fully interactive and is even the home of an Internet-based Mozart society. Check it out.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
http://w3.rz-berlin.mpg.de/cmp/mozart.html
This is part of an ambitious project called the Classical Music Pages. It includes a brief biography as well as information about and sound clips from specific compositions.
