The Cambridge Mozart Encyclopedia
http://www.cambridge.org/features/music/mozart_0521856590/
Just in time for Mozart's 250th birthday, Cambridge University Press is publishing this new, extensive "Guide to a Genius." The encyclopedia, edited by Mozart scholar and author Cliff Eisen, will provide "comprehensive coverage of Mozart's life and works, and of the people, places and compositional contexts that directly affected him." The publisher's Web site adds: "No other single work in English on this genius composer covers as much about him as this encyclopedia does. An A-Z layout ensures easy searchability. Entries range from major works to small biographical details." The book, to be published in January, may be ordered in advance through this link. Look for a review soon in the Bibliography section of the Mozart Project.

Mozart Symphony in G Minor in Jazz
http://www.thejazzmall.com/mozart.html
Mozart Symphony in G minor (No. 40, K. 550), entirely in jazz with improvisations. According to the recording's promoters, "this is the first time an entire symphony has been scored, performed, and recorded by a jazz trio. Arguably the pathos, and grand qualities of the original masterpiece remain. Plus, there are jazz improvisations on sections, all built on W.A. Mozart's harmonic structures. This is no-holds-barred jazz, performed by top musicians."
